1. Information We Collect
- Mobile number: collected and verified via a WhatsApp OTP before you can post any listing or requirement. This is how we keep the platform genuine.
- Name: optionally collected during verification, shown alongside your listings in our admin panel only — not published publicly beyond what you enter in a listing.
- Listing/requirement details: whatever you enter — title, city, price, description, photos (via URL), and the contact WhatsApp number you choose to display publicly on the listing itself.
- Payment information: if you choose a paid 30-day listing, payment is processed entirely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details — we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded.
- Usage data: IP address and timestamps around OTP requests and submissions, kept for security and spam-prevention purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To verify you're a real person before allowing you to post, via WhatsApp OTP
- To display your listing or requirement to other users, along with the contact number you provide
- To review submissions for spam or policy violations before they go live
- To process payments for paid listings via Razorpay, and confirm your listing accordingly
- To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and fraudulent activity
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on servers hosted by Hostinger. Admin panel access is protected by a password (hashed, never stored in plain text) and standard session-based authentication. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
4. Cookies & Sessions
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in after WhatsApp verification, so you don't need to re-verify every time you post. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies at this time.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or trade your personal information. We share data only:
- Publicly, as part of a listing or requirement you choose to post (your listed contact number is visible to anyone browsing)
- With Razorpay, solely to process payment for paid listings
- With WhatsApp/Meta (or our messaging provider), solely to deliver your OTP
- To comply with a legal obligation, if required
6. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, or ask us to remove a listing, at any time by contacting hi@bhkwala.in.
7. Children's Privacy
BHKWala is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
